2014 Fall Fashion Trends: Beauty
September 22, 2014Whip Winter Wardrobe into Shape
October 6, 2014At the start of each new season, fashion magazines with the new “In” looks get us girls all in a tizzy. Especially fun when our coming season wardrobe is still buried in the back of our closet & just a dream-like memory. Then we pull out next season’s clothes & the panic sets in. Nothing in our closet walked down any recent runway. In fact, it all looks more like road-kill after a 24 hour flight around the world in coach.
That’s okay. We plan a shopping excursion that Coco Chanel would approve. But the prices. Even our special, exclusive, VIP, behind-the-scenes, secret shopper, confidential club membership won’t help you get those prices down! Besides, who wants to wear a crazy, colored fur that looks like it might be on LSD? Yes, that is a trend this fall.
We already own more great pieces that will create those “In” looks than our panic state is willing to acknowledge. It’s just a matter of remixing what we have to highlight those garments that are “In” now. Yes, a few pieces have died in our closet–or are on life support….please put them out of their misery. Then hurry to stores we love & rely on for replacement pieces.
The key is to infuse our style with a few pieces of the “In” look. We don’t want to wear head-to-toe animal print. We want to be classy vs scary. Chic vs trendy. Elegant vs slutty. You don’t want other women to see you and say to their friend, “Now that’s just unfortunate.” You want them to say, “Hmm….why didn’t I think of wearing that?”
The looks above are pieces we can purchase now at some of our favorite stores to replace those garments that died. Just click on the photo. Follow me daily on theStyled & Organized Living Facebook page, @StyledOrganized on Twitter & the Styled & Organized Living Pinterest page for how I am infusing this season’s trends into my clothes & let me know which ones you like. All will show you how to stylishly gain more control over your life because Life is Better Organized!
