In honor of St. Patrick’s day (Sunday, this year) I offer you 4 simple habits to keep you organized and allow you to reap lucky rewards. What and How you ask?
Here are the 4 Habits
- TBB or Tidy Before Bed: If you take 15-20 minutes every night to tuck your things into their own little beds, they won’t be jumping in your face in the AM while you are trying to get ready. This is also a great time to prepare yourself for the next day so you don’t have a giant list of TO DOs racing through your head while you’re still half asleep. Nothing’s more annoying than those two nuisances.
How will TBB make you lucky?
- Make you a Rock Star
- Get out door with all items needed for the day
- Arrive on time
- Be more productive because you are present…not stressed
- Be like Wonder Woman—ready for the unexpected
- No under-eye bags or dark circles so you are always Instagram picture ready
- PONS or Pass-On Non-Serviceables: I know it was expensive. It was a gift. You got a great deal. You’ve had it forever. It’s still usable. You might need it some day, BUT, if you aren’t using it, isn’t it really just renting space and not paying rent? Who wants a free-loader in their home? Not me!
How will PONS make you lucky?
- No tripping and breaking your nose over things you don’t need
- Rediscover that favorite thing you love & everyone will compliment you on it
- Find a check you forgot to cash
- BYOB or Before You Over Buy: Before you buy anything, STOP! THINK. Is there a home for this item? If you can’t think of one, stop touching it and walk away. Without a home, an object becomes a hinderance to your Stylish Life.
How will BYOB make you lucky?
- Save you tons of smackaroos you can spend on a vacation, facial, massage, nice dinner out, etc.
- Save you tons of time for last minute, spontaneous fun things and not time incorporating new things into your home.
- CC or Complete the Cycle: Peter Walsh, an Oprah find, has always stressed the importance of Completing the Cycle. Simply, clean up your mess by putting items back in their home when you are finished with them or at least at the end of each day. You can do major overhaul organizing all you want, BUT it you do not Complete the Cycle each day, items will pile up and you will have to go through that major overhaul again. YIKES!
How will CC make you lucky?
- Your house is always ready for unexpected friends.
- You can always find what you need when you need it. (Like always catching green lights.)
Leticia Pfeiffer
I started organizing from a very early age. As a teenager, I tried very hard to have a messy room but only ended up having messy piles that were neatly arranged. Later in life, my friends started asking me to help them organize their closets, homes, garages, etc. It's something I love to do!
Now, I have started a Professional Organizing business to do what I love to do everyday and at the same time help people take control of their lives and spaces.
