With the start of August, school is just around the corner.  Time to get last minute fun in while preparing for the next exciting school year.  Balance pool time, Six Flags, Main Event extravaganzas & ice cream store trips with prepping for the big day.

1. School Supplies  Gather together old school supplies.  Compare what you have with school supply list.  Then head out shopping for what is missing.

2. School Clothes  Kids grow during the summer. Plan a “Fashion Show” hour where clothes & shoes are tried on for current fit evaluation.  Make a list of what is needed.  Don’t forget underwear & socks.

3. School Backpacks/Lunch Boxes  Nothing tells more about a kid than their backpack/lunch box style.  Let them pick out the backpack & lunch box that will define them this year.  Nothing gives more confidence than just the right one.

Once you have the basics covered, your kids will be ready to tackle their first day back at school & you’ll enjoy a relaxing day at work.

Don’t let the extras slip by you when preparing for the new school year.

1. •Immunizations  Are they up to date?  Did you turn them into the school?

2. •Sports Equipment  Create a “Sports Drawer/Basket/Bin” for your kids to keep their items ready & handy.
