On special occasions, kitchens turn into a busy place: 93 percent of Americans bake cookies during the holidays, according to a 2015 survey from ACH Food Companies.

And during celebrations, extra appliances such as mixers, bread makers, and food processors often appear along with family and friends.

After the guests leave, however, it can be tough to find a spot for all of the dishes, appliances, and serving ware best suited for a group.

Taking the time to store kitchen appliances and other items in an orderly way can keep them clean, in working condition, and easy to find when you need them.
