February 17, 2015By now, some of your New Year’s Resolutions might have fallen to the wayside. It’s hard to make all those changes at one time. Maybe you just need better tools to help you achieve those New Year’s Resolutions. Or maybe you need to understand the best tools for your personality.
Your choices are digital or paper – yes, people still use paper to track tasks & goals & that’s okay. The first step to getting your affairs organized is to come to terms with what really works for you. If it happens to be paper, stop apologizing & hiding your paper calendar. Better to be organized, competent & sane than incompetent, confused, & frustrated.
Let’s consider the pros & cons so you can finally determine the best life planning/goal tracking format for you. Once you know your format & direction to follow, you are halfway there to ending frustration & mastering organization.
DIGITAL
PRO: Convenient/Changeable/Accessible
CON: Learning Curve
For those who don’t even make a To Do list on a piece of paper.
There are several good, digital life planner software possibilities. Some charge a nominal monthly fee but most are free. Since it is digital, there no eraser marks or scratched out ink left after changes. As long as you have internet, you can access your information & some let you work off-line. But, you do have a learning curve.
PAPER
PRO: Convenient/Easy/Comfortable
CON: Only One Copy
For those who need the larger visual of a paper calendar & notes while on the go.
Easy, inexpensive & familiar to those of us who are more mature in age. A paper life planner is a buy & go set up. But, if you loose it, you might just loose your mind.
