August 4, 2016Helping Students with ADHD: The Academic Planner by Order Out of Chaos
September 1, 2016There are so many new travel products on the market that are designed with both style and function in mind. With the summer already winding down, we thought we would share our current list of travel favorites that can make planning your last minute getaway a breeze!
Our cellphones are important travel accessories for so many reasons. We use their cameras to capture precious vacation memories. We also use their GPS apps to effortlessly find our way around brand new places. With so many reasons to use them, they will without-a-doubt run out of juice at the most inopportune moments. Why not take along a small battery backup to make sure that you won’t miss a beat. This Anker PowerCore+ mini 3350mAh Lipstick-Sized Portable Charger is one of our favorites due to it’s size and sleek design.
Our current favorite packing organizers are the Eagle Creek Translucent Specter Pack-It Cubes. They are made of a translucent parachute material that is very light weight. Their big zipper pulls and carry handles make them really easy to use. They prevent a lot of shifting which can cause your clothes to wrinkle. We suggest packing an outfit in each one of the cubes. This ensures that you don’t “overpack” by helping you plan out what you will wear each day of the trip.
Part of being well organized for travel is being prepared. Be prepared to prevent a sunburn during your vacation by taking along a good sunscreen. CeraVe SPF 50 Sunscreen Body Lotion, 3.0 Ounce was developed by dermatologists so it is a true sun block. We think it’s a great idea to buy a bottle of this for everyone in the family to share. It’s lightweight and oil free so it works for even the most sensitive skin.
For air travel, it is great to have a clear zipper pouch on hand to store your small liquids in a carry on bag. Going through TSA security lines goes so much smoother when you are prepared to take one pouch out of your bag (instead of having to search for all of those little bottles that can end up in the bottom of your carry on). Our favorite bag for this purpose is this Clarity Pouch (small) because it is both stylish and functional.
We recommend carrying your most important travel documents in a Office Depot® Brand Poly Project View Folder. You can type up a quick spreadsheet that contains all of the contact info. for hotels and confirmation numbers for activities and reservations that you will need for each day of travel. Once printed out you can keep it in one of these folders, and then when you return the folder doubles as a memory keeping file. Just add a little label and you can then store any paper ephemera (maps, receipts, tickets, etc…) neatly in a travel or scrapbooking file.
