Dad’s are awesome!  My dad was the best dad ever.  I still have people randomly stop me to tell me how much they loved my dad, his big heart, humor & 1000 watt smile.  He even put up with some pretty lack-luster gifts over the years for Christmas, his birthday & Father’s Day pretending they were all totally awesome.  See pic above. My grandfather behind him is even laughing at the pants & shirt he received.  What did we know?  We were a house full of girls trying to shop for a man before the internet, Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest.  It was inevitable blahness at gift giving time.

There were sweaters, ties, boxers, khakis & even socks.  Gifts were so bad, he started shopping for himself from Thanksgiving through to Christmas.  We finally had to make a rule in the family that no one could buy themselves anything other than basic essentials during that time.  Poor man.  But, we were doing the best we could with our limited resources & delicate budget.

Don’t do your dad the same way!  Things are easier now for girls shopping for their dad.  There are social media outlets for ideas or just to ask opinions.  Any store you shopped at in the last 15 years will send you an email with their ideas for Dear Dad.  And Dad’s groom now or should be grooming so gift cards for all things shaving will always smooth things over.
