Leap Day; What Will You Do?
February 27, 20125 Tricks to Being Organized
March 12, 2012Most people’s image of Spring Cleaning is drudgery, Cinderella or something to avoid at all cost. But I want to show you a simple way to “Spring Clean” that doesn’t require an army.
1.Sweep Away Winter
Sweep out garage, sweep off front porch & back patio.
2.Tidy Storage
Straighten up closets, cabinets, toy room & any other storage space in your home. You’ll be amazed by what you discover hidden & forgotten.
3.Rediscover the Fun Stuff
Pull-out summer dishes, the ice cream maker, beach towels, patio equipment, etc you just rediscovered to help you enjoy the warmer weather.
4.Freshen Your Beds
Wash everything on your bed including the mattress pad & blanket. Then remake your bed with your summer weight blanket.
5.Seasonalize Decor
Switch out all decor items that scream winter; throw pillows in winter fabrics or colors, heavy throws, kitchen & bath linens, even photos of you skiing. In their place, put out light colored linens, light colored throw pillows & pictures of you at the beach.
Do one at a time or all 5 for a weekend, Spring Clean blow-out. Once these are done, you’ll be ready to enjoy warm, sunny days.
Do you have a “must do” Spring Clean task that gets you ready for Spring?
