I met Ben Hogan this past weekend at The Colonial Golf Tournament.  Well, really I just said, “Hi!” to his statue.  Yes, it rained, it poured, the ground was soggy and the sidewalks muddy but the experience was magical.

It was my first golf tournament.  I was sure to practice my golf clap to be ready and was thankful I did.  My friend, Ashley, and I stumbled upon the 18th hole just as Kevin Na and Ian Poulter walked onto the green.  The No 1 and No 2 guys were finishing up the day of golf right in front of us!

What a wonderful tradition we have right here in our own backyard.  Next year will mark 60 years of planning, updating, changing and hard work from countless people to make The Colonial one of the most prestigious tournaments on the PGA tour.  Mr. Hogan had something to do with it as well, but this type of event takes a village to make it perfect not matter what the weather.

Thank you to my dear friends who offered their tickets to me.  It was a day of fun, relaxation and memories to last a lifetime.
