Jewelry is fun to select, buy, wear and even display.  And yet, we bring them home and tuck them away in a drawer.  You might have a jewelry box to store your treasures or you might have a drawer full of individual jewelry boxes you have to search through to find the piece you want to wear.

Why should the most beautiful pieces of your wardrobe be hidden away? Maybe it’s time to let your favorite & seasonal treasures work their magic everyday displayed on your dresser or in your closet.  You might want to display those pieces you forget or find difficult to wear.  Having them at hand makes it easier to try them on with outfits.

Just like you flip your wardrobe each season tucking away heavy winter items in the spring or cool linens in the fall, seasonal jewelry along with your go-to pieces can be rotated with the seasons.  Remember to clean jewelry before storing it flat in a velvet lined container for the out-of-season time. Take special care when cleaning opals & pearls…..mild soap & water for opals; a soft, damp cotton cloth for pearls.

Use your Great-Grandmother’s Fenton moonstone hobnail glass bowl with trays, boxes & perfume bottles you’ve received as gifts.  Then add in a decorative push-pin board for statement necklaces & and tiered dessert tray to finish it off.  Group silver pieces, gold pieces, lavender pieces etc together to create easy to find jewelry statements.  Look around your home.  You have beautiful, decorative dishes just waiting to display your favorite jewelry.
