This is the time of year you will hear about families preparing their college bound kids for a much more independent life starting this fall. I have several friends going through this process now and it is a bittersweet time. Their babies are preparing to leave the nest and fly solo, and they want them to start off their very first college semester on the right foot.
There are so many things that they will need for this great adventure, which means a big investment before they even set foot in a college classroom. I wonder how many students think about labeling these items so that they can easily keep track of them (especially when there are roommates involved). Some kids may think…why do I need to label my things? Well…when their favorite black North Face jacket is accidentally taken from the chemistry lab, wouldn’t it be nice if a label was tucked inside so that it can make it’s way back to them? This goes for anything that is carried around campus on a daily basis (think backpacks, water bottles, cell phones, etc…)
We have combed the internet to bring you a list of our favorite labels for students. These would make fabulous send-off gifts for these kids before they leave home in August.
