Do This One Thing to Keep New Year’s Resolutions

The key to keeping your New Year’s resolutions or just keeping status quo is time management or selectively choosing where to spend your time. The difference in just living vs time management is whether you are the one choosing where to spend your time. It is yours after all to spend.

Helping others and volunteering is a good thing however, they are asking you to give them your time. Before you freely give it away, remember how very precious it is. If you say yes to them, what are you neglecting for yourself?

• Taking care of your body by exercising & eating healthy
• Missing time with family/kids/parents
• Improving your finances
• Caring for your household

To avoid neglecting what is important to you

• Schedule both fun and chores on your calendar. When you are all work & no play, it is easier to ignore work/chores/to dos to go have fun. If fun is built into your calendar, you see the balance so work doesn’t feel so overwhelming.
• Reassess your schedule frequently so you can make adjustments. If your projects aren’t getting done, it’s time to circle the wagons for a weekend, tackle them and then reward yourself.

Time management is the key to achieving your goals and setting yourself up for success in the future. When you achieve your goals, reward yourself. You will be more successful.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
