Unearth Your Garden Tools
February 18, 2013Spring Clean Challenge
March 4, 2013In celebration of that little furry creature who burrows his home into the ground sometimes upsetting our lovely gardens, lawns & sometimes golf courses it’s time to get your garden tools & garden in order. Warmer weather is just around the corner, flowers are back in the garden store and you’ll feel better when you have the flower beds cleaned out & new mulch added. So roll up your sleeves, grab your gloves & get ready for the first warm, sunny day.
1. Reconnect your garden hose & store away spigot covers. Nothing says spring like the garden hose back in place. Test the hoses & sprayers to make sure they are still in good working order.
2.Stock up on your favorite garden gloves & other garden tools. If you don’t have a workspace to where your small garden tools live, find are planting station, shelves, bakers rack, etc that will fits in your garage or on your back patio for easy of use.
3.Lawn, Pool & Patio Furniture. It’s time to get out & clean off all furniture used outdoors. Don’t forget to give the chiminea that’s kept you warm all winter a good cleaning to get your through the spring.
4.Don’t Tackle the Whole Yard in One Day. This is not the time for a Weekend Warrior activity. Just spend a hour at a time in your yard. Pick one flower bed to work on then clean up & quit for the day. You don’t want to over do it & swear of your yard the rest of the year.
